Herbal Poems of Long Winter Nights, I: Burdock Root

by | Jan 16, 2026

Arctos,
treading on this earth
digging for the light
walk across the sky
knower of the night
don’t let me go
old one
don’t let me go too deep
hold on to me
as you head for winter’s sleep
you who fears nothing,
not the dark,
not the light,
can I climb onto your back,
will you walk me
through this night?
