Description

Teanga is not just a tool for communication; it is a way of seeing, a way of knowing, a way of being in the world. Teangacha don’t just hold words, they carry instructions of traditional ecological knowledge, honed over generations; ways of being in relationship with the land that understand it to be kin, not resource. They remind us that there are other ways to be, to organise and to relate to one another and to the land”.

‘When we speak a word, we plant a seed. When we learn a phrase, we weave another thread back into that cloak. When we greet caisearbhán emerging from the frozen earth, or a new born baby fresh into this world, we whisper; Fáilte. Tá muid anseo go fóill. Beidh muid anseo go deo. Ní bheidh muid inár dtost’.
